SERVE AT EMMANUEL

Volunteering on a team is one of the quickest and easiest ways to begin getting to know people at Emmanuel. Volunteers lead small groups from toddlers to teenagers, greet guests at the door, work in production in the sanctuary and much, much more! There's a spot for everyone, no matter what your skill or passion. And not only is it rewarding to see your service help other people, but it's also just fun!

Check out our serving opportunities page for more information. If you are not sure of where you could serve, then let us know. We would love to have a conversation with you in order to get to know your gifts and talents!

  • How does church look right now due to COVID-19?
We are excited to announce that we have resumed in person services as well as continuing to provide an online livestream to those that are more comfortable watching from home. We are doing what we can to keep our community safe by modifying our ministries to accommodate social distancing as well as regular cleaning and santizing. Visit eefc.ca/open for more information.
  • How do you worship?
Our services have elements of both contemporary and traditional music, including hymns, choir, and a live band. You will also see other elements such as prayer, Scripture reading, communion, baptism as well as a variety of other creative elements. Most importantly, both services listen to a Bible-based message.
  • Where do I park?
At times, our parking lot is quite full. For that reason, we have reserved several parking spots for guests. You’ll find them adjacent to each of our main entrances. Handicap parking stalls are located close to each of the entrances.
  • What about my kids?
We have kids programing in both services for kids from age 3 until grade 5. Children are also welcome in the auditorium for the service. We have kids activity packages located at the Welcome Centre for your kids to enjoy throughout the service if you choose. Visit our eKids page for more info.
  • How should I dress?
Emmanuel has a ‘come as you are’ atmosphere. You will find a range of dress styles from jeans and t-shirts to shorts and flip-flops, to the occasional sports jacket and dress. Come dressed however you are comfortable and you will fit right in.
  • Am I going to feel awkward?
In no way will you be singled out in any of our services or programs. When you visit, we will invite you to fill out an Next Steps card and take it to our Welcome Centre. We would love to give you a gift to thank you for spending time with us.
  • What do you believe?
We believe that Jesus is the son of God and the Bible is the word of God. That said, take a moment to read through our statements on our Mission, Vision, and Beliefs. You can do that here.
  • Where are you located?
Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church is located at 360 McKenzie Avenue in Steinbach, Manitoba. The church is located on McKenzie Ave, about 1km east of Steinbach Regional Secondary School.
  • If I have questions, who do I talk to?"
On Sunday, please feel free to visit our Welcome Centre located at the center of the foyer. There our staff team would be glad to help you find the people or places you need. Otherwise, take a moment to contact us by visiting our contact us page.
